LIBRARY- A KNOWLEDGE RESOURCE CENTRE-

The library at SKITM is more like integrated knowledge resource centre in which more than 6000 books, CD ROMS , national & international journals ,magazines covering all aspects of academic studies & research materials with internet facility are stocked.

Automation

Library The Library uses the automation software “Library ” for its operations; with a fully bar-coded transactions, reservation, cancellation, search facilities of library resources and web enabled OPAC service throughout the Campus.

Digital Library

The Digital Library is air-conditioned & equipped with multi-media systems with dedicated broadband internet .The Digital Library provides access to NPTEL. Other facilities incorporated to the digital library services includes online public access catalogue (OPAC), internet facility, smart card based bar-coded transactions and search facilities of library resources…etc

WORKSHOP: ESSENTIAL NEED OF ENGINEERING

Workshop is one of the core subject of engineering. To meet the requirement of basic engineering, following shops have been developed in the workshop:

Machine shop	Foundry shop
Welding shop	Fitting shop
Sheet Metal Shop	Carpentry shop

Air-Conditioned Class Rooms:

All class rooms and tutorial rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with advanced & modern teaching aids, such as OHP. Additionally, provision for video conferencing, Tele-conferencing, LCD Projector are also made in seminar halls of each branch.

Hostel Purposed

The separate hostel for boys & girls operational from August 2010, caring wardens & a fight security has been proposed for ensuring a pleasant stay allowing students to focus on their academics, whilst internet access & STD facilities will also be provided for contact with family & friends.

The common rooms are fully equipped with TV, Indoor games & other recreation facilities AC rooms will also be made available on demand as per existing rules.
